But wouldn’t you know, There is a plethora of beautiful flora to gaze upon in the botanical gardens. This sprawling garden is home to tons of different desert herbs, shrubs, flowers, trees and cacti imaginable. You can also expect a stunning presentation with easily accessible walking paths. 2. Indoor Activities

If you want to enjoy some nice, fresh cold air while also entertaining yourself and your family, check some of these out. First, let’s stop at Heard Museum, where you can gaze upon an impressive collection of Native American art. Founded in 1929, the Heard Museum is now one of the largest museums in Arizona. It has become recognized around the world and not only offers amazing exhibits but also holds exhibitions, workshops, educational sessions and so much more. It’s fun for the entire family at Heard Museum.
We may be one big desert, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some awesome aquatic life for you to gaze upon. Stop on in to the OdySea Aquarium, where they offer a unique environment filled with various aquatic flora and fauna. From fresh to saltwater varieties, they’ve got fish, animals from the swamps, bayous, and even coral reefs. Located in Scottsdale, OdySea was recently voted Best Indoor Entertainment. This multi-level, state-of-the-art facility holds more than two million gallons of water and is the largest aquarium in Arizona. This is a family-friendly activity you won’t want to miss!
